22-year-old Chitungwiza woman arrested for cocaine dealing

DETECTIVES from the CID Drugs and Narcotics section recently arrested Stayic Muchipisa, a 22-year-old lady from Chitungwiza, for dealing in cocaine in Harare CBD.

Muchipisa has since been dragged before Harare magistrate Victoria Mashamba charged with unlawful dealing in dangerous drugs.

The State’s case is that on a date in November this year, police from the CID Drugs and Narcotics got a tip off that Muchipisa was dealing in cocaine. They trailed her as she drove her vehicle and parked at the corner of 6th Street and Livingstone Avenue in central Harare.

Detectives then approached her while she was in the company of Andrew Mapfumo, Kimberly Kasenga and Waisley Chikombora. Detectives identified themselves and requested to search her vehicle, to which she complied.

However, they found nothing offensive.

Convinced that their informer was reliable, detectives asked to conduct a body search on Muchipisa. They found two transparent plastic sachets stashed with white granules of cocaine along her waist and immediately arrested her.

Police conducted tests on the recovered granules and found that it was cocaine amounting to US$500 and weighing 1.5 grams.

Muchipisa has been released on ZW$1,000 bail coupled with stringent reporting conditions. She was ordered to report thrice a week to CID Drugs and Narcotics, surrender her passport and not interfere with State witnesses until the matter is finalized.
